Baby Room

We can accommodate babies from the age of 3 months, and they will stay in the baby room until they are ready to progress to the Toddler Room; this is usually between the ages of 15 – 18 months.

There are never more than six babies at one time, and we have 2 members of staff that will follow your home routine as closely as possible – this includes nap and meal times.

Our baby room is upstairs with the sleep room next door, so we are always monitoring nap times closely.

During the day, your baby will get to join in with stories, songs, sensory play, lots of time in our wonderful garden and heaps of cuddles! We’ve always found babies settle in really quickly thanks to our lovely baby room staff, Anna and Julie, who are both very experienced.

What your baby would need to bring –

  • Nappies

  • Spare clothes (with name tags)

  • Formula or breast milk (cow’s milk can be provided here)

  • Bottles

  • An outdoor all-in-one suitable for the time of year

  • Any comfort items (with name tags)

  • Lunch if not going for the hot meal option (we provide snacks)

Toddler Room

Our Toddler Room is a vibrant and fun environment geared towards helping your toddler develop and enjoy their time with us. We have highly qualified staff, Meg, Niamh, Kate and Sarah, who will follow your home routine as closely as possible, including naps and meal times. Our sleep room is next to the Toddler room, and they will be closely monitored throughout nap times.

The children will be involved in lots of role play, sensory play, story and song times, craft activities, and as much time enjoying our outside space as possible, so they will need to come with spare clothes and wet weather gear!

Big Room

Our big room is set up for children from 2 years until they head over to Preschool. Our highly qualified and experienced staff, Chrissy, Lucy and Kate, make sure your toddlers are active, engaged and developing as they play, which starts to prepare them for the more structured learning they will be heading towards.

This room has areas for specific activities such as; the book corner, role play area, small world, construction and writing. These are always available for your child to get involved with, and we find that they progress quickly with their imagination at this age!

We have story time, where we encourage the children to participate in the storytelling; we sing together and learn lots of new songs and have conversations together about anything and everything. We also encourage more independence in this setting, allowing children to take care of their belongings, hang up their coats, bags etc. and help to prepare snacks, lay the table and tidy up.

Alongside plenty of time spent in our main garden, this room also has access to a patioed area which the children have free flow access to throughout the day.

Preschool

We are extremely fortunate to have recently opened a large, detached building on the grounds of Eardisley School for our preschool group. It’s the perfect setting to help the children prepare for starting school and to enjoy their final year of nursery.

We very much encourage independence at preschool; they have their own drawers and pegs, they help with snack time and tidying up and they are encouraged to help each other with tasks.

Our highly qualified staff, two teachers and two level three qualified practitioners, focus more on specific areas of learning to equip them with the foundations in literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design – but also with heaps of time for free play!

Eardisley Primary is the main link, but we also feed into many local schools and help our children transition smoothly when the time comes.
